Welcome to 2014! Hope you had a lovely holiday season, and Happy New Year. I have been MIA traveling, and doing the whole family thing during the holidays, but I’m back now, and ready to go!
It is now the 6th of January – Have you got all your goals of 2014 figured out? Did you make any resolutions? Have you broken any already?
Whether you believe in making resolutions or not, I’m always big on small changes toward self improvement. Everyone can always make little tweaks in their daily life that can bring yourself to a happier and healthier you.
Over the years I have heard that writing your goals down, and telling people what they are, are the first steps to achieving them, so here it goes:
My 2014 Goals
-Create a Budget. Stick to it. Do 52 Week Money Challenge.
-Talk more regularly with parents. Respond to Emails/Texts in a more timely manner.
-Organize the house. Stay on top of clutter.
-Eat Healthier. Cut down on cheese/dairy products. Meal plan.
-Get my yearly check ups.
-Be more active. Try a new fitness class. Play tennis more.
-Floss more. Moisturize.
-Take more initiative. Lean in.
-Do Editorial Calendar. Follow it.
-Set aside time to write.
-Set aside more specific one on one time with Brooke. Do more projects.
-Set weekly date night. More intimacy.
-Compliment more. Criticize less.
-Treat him more.
I didn’t really go in and explain my list in depth (and some of it may not even make sense to you), but I am sure some of these things will be explained much further in the coming weeks. Some of these goals I have seen before (damn you empanadas, bacon cheeseburgers, fried chicken, and double chocolate brownies for making healthy eating so tough!), but many are new, which is actually quite uplifting. That means some of my past goals have been hit or have become habits, and I am working on new things now. So I raise a glass of bubbly to you and I, and Cheers to making 2014 an amazing year!
What are some of your goals for this year?
