Over the past year I have really gotten into coffee. I actually crave it now, which is surprising since a couple years ago I wouldn’t drink anything more than a caramel frappuccino (everything else was too coffee-ish flavored). I probably attribute this newly acquired taste to living catty-corner from a Dunkin’ Donuts. Whether it is a good or bad thing this new lust for coffee (I have heard pros and cons), I do know that on Sunday mornings it sure feels lovely sitting in our backyard with coffee mug in hand.
This morning though, I ran out of coffee creamer. I may not mind the taste of coffee these days, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like to spruce it up a bit. Rather than just add some milk and sugar, I decided to head over to pinterest, and see what it would take to make some coffee creamer. Lo and behold, it is a piece of cake to make, and I had the needed ingredients. So here you go:
Easy Amaretto Creamer Recipe
1 (14oz) can of condensed milk
1 1/2 cups milk (can be low fat, soy, almond, etc)
1 tsp. almond extract
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
All you do is mix all ingredients together, and you’re done. Simple as that, and you have a delicious Amaretto flavored creamer. And I must say, it really is delicious!
If Amaretto Creamer is not your thing, you really can easily make a wide variety of flavors. Check out Mrs. Happy Homemaker for flavors such as Pumpkin Spice, Samoa (like the Girl Scout cookies), and Peppermint Patty, or Market to Meal for Creme Brulee, Holiday Spice, and Caramel flavors.
Cheers to starting your day off on a delicious note.
